PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment method for a plastic, and a plastic substrate restrained in a fluorescence generation amount, in particular, the plastic substrate for a biochip. SOLUTION: This surface treatment method for the plastic has a process for oxidation-treating a surface of the plastic, and a process for reduction-treating an oxygen-containing functional group generated by the oxidation-treatment, and is introduced with the first functional group on the plastic surface. The surface treatment method for the plastic has a process for introducing further the second functional group via the first functional group introduced on the plastic surface, after the process for the reduction-treatment, and has a process for introducing further the third functional group via the second functional group, after the process for the introduction of the second functional group.
