PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitter resistant to deterioration upon electron beam irradiation and ultraviolet ray irradiation, to provide a method for producing the same, to provide a field emission display using the emitter, and to provide a plasma display panel using the emitter. SOLUTION: The light emitter is constituted by coating the surfaces of emitter particles with a ceramer based on Si and Ti as principal components. Desirably, the light emitter is a ZnS:Ag, Cl-based emitter being a blue light emitter with a particle diameter of 4 to 10μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
