PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging material prevented from being torn even if a degree of vacuum is raised at the time of vacuum packaging of hard content having projections to produce a pinhole or the like and having good preservability. SOLUTION: In the packaging material comprising a laminate obtained by laminating a base material layer (1) comprising a single-layer or multi-layer film, an interposed resin layer (3), a gas barrier layer (5) comprising a vapor deposition polyester film, on which metal aluminum, aluminum oxide or silicon oxide is vapor-deposited, an ethylene/vinyl alcohol film or an aluminum foil and a sealant layer (7), the interposed resin layer (3) comprises a linear low density polyethylene resin.
