PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning rod which smoothens the operation of a reel and can prevent the dropping of a rod body, when the rod body or reel seat is temporarily separated from a hand. SOLUTION: This spinning rod is equipped with a base rod 1 having a reel seat 2 on the peripheral surface and with a hooking member 10 mounted on a peripheral surface near to the reel seat 2 of the base rod 1 and used for hooking a hand. This hooking member 10 has a main body portion 11, mounting portions 12 formed at the longitudinal ends of the main body portion 11 and mounted on the base rod 1, and a hooking portion 13 formed in the main body portion 11 and used for hooking a hand.
