PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter and a receiver which can be operated conveniently in transmitting/receiving multiple data. SOLUTION: The transmitter is provided with: a storage means for storing the multiple data; a selection means for selecting transmission data from the multiple data; and a display means for displaying information indicating the transmission states of each of two or more pieces of data along with part of data of the two or more pieces of data when the two or more pieces of data are selected by the selection means. In addition, the receiver is provided with: a display means for displaying the reduced images of multiple image data; and a selection means for selecting image data to be received from the multiple reduced images. The display means displays information indicating the reception states of each of two or more pieces of image data along with reduced images of the two or more image data when the two or more image data are selected.
