MATRIX TYPE DISPLAY APPARATUS AND DRIVING METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matrix type display apparatus in which deterioration of display quality due to variation of a temperature and a frame frequency when gamma characteristics are periodically changed and in which an angle of visual field is widened. SOLUTION: In a gain calculation circuit 6, first and second gamma characteristics of first and second converters 1 and 2 are corrected according to the temperature and the frame frequency of a liquid crystal panel 5 and in the first and second converters 1 and 2, gamma correction is performed respectively, using the first and second gamma characteristics in which a video signal IS is corrected and in a selection circuit 3, outputs of the first and the second converters 1 and 2 are changed for each frame and for each pixel.
