In domestic appliances (1) preferably in front load type washing machines, when the door (3) is opened by releasing any one of the door opening mechanisms (4) which are situated at both sides of the appliance in order to ensure opening the door (3) from both sides, the door opening mechanism (4) situated on the other side becomes a stationary axis which is installed to one of the sides of the door (3).
