PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing process of an amine-based polymer which is useful for various usages in the fine chemicals field and especially useful for a waterproof agent for inkjet ink.

SOLUTION: This invention relates to the manufacturing process of the N,N-dialkylallylamine polymer or its addition salt in which addition salt of N,N-dialkylallylamine is polymerized in an aqueous solvent in the presence of a radical initiator having an azo group in the molecule or a persulfate-based radical initiator in an amount of 5 to 100 mol.% based on the addition salt and is neutralized at a request.
