PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire information conveniently and freely without knowing information for specifying the information source, e.g. a URL, and to eliminate the need for special management.

SOLUTION: A terminal 1 for acquiring digital information comprises: a transmitting section 14 having directivity and transmitting an objective signal in the directed direction by radio; a command generating section 13 for adding information indicative of the address of the terminal 1 to the objective signal; a receiving section 15 for receiving a signal transmitted to the terminal 1 by radio and acquiring information included in that signal; an information memory 16 incorporated in the terminal 1 or attached removably thereto and storing the information acquired at the receiving section 15; and a display section 17 for presenting information stored in the information memory 16 or acquired at the receiving section 15.
