<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurate dispensing work and enhance safety for dispensing. <P>SOLUTION: When patient data and dispensing data are extracted from an image of a prescription captured and inputted using a scanner 18, the drug data of a drug specified by the prescription are obtained from a drug DB according to the dispensing data to check the stock status of the drug. If the drug is in stock, the drug data obtained are displayed on a pharmacist's display device 13a; if the drug is out of stock, a search is conducted according to the drug data obtained to see whether or not there are any other drugs as effective as the drug. After dispensing is over and an image of the dispensed drug taken with a camera 19 is inputted, the image of the drug dispensed is compared to the image of the drug specified by the prescription, and if they do not match, an error message indicating that the dispensing is wrong is displayed on the pharmacist's display device 13a.
