<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To finely adjust transmission signal timing with a time resolving power smaller than sampling interval when ranging is carried out. <P>SOLUTION: At the time of OFDM modulation, phase of a transmission symbol on the frequency axis is revolved along the frequency axis and then subjected to multicarrier modulation. When phase modulation is carried out, a phase value is determined based on the subcarrier number, a required delay, and transmission symbol phase data and then subtracted on a sine table thus obtaining a symbol imparted with a revolution depending on a required delay along the frequency axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
