<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for grip bars allowing the use of an ordinary bracket without a kerf which absorbs the thickness of a flange, in a receiving plate part. <P>SOLUTION: This connector for a handrail connects the grip bars 4 to each other on the receiving plate part 3 of the bracket 2 by providing the flange 6 for covering the outer peripheries of the grip bars 4, around an inside clamped plate 5 clamped between the end faces of two grip bars 4. In this case, the flange 6 is cut out to provide an exposed part 7 at the lower part peripheral edge of the inside clamped plate 5, and the exposed part 7 is brought into direct contact with the receiving plate part 3 of the bracket 2. Consequently, even without the kerf in the receiving plate part 3 of the bracket 2, the outer peripheries of the grip bars 4 are received in close contact and stably supported. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
