PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing flexible polyurethane foam having low hardness/low density. SOLUTION: The method for producing the flexible polyurethane foam comprises mixing and dispersing a polyurethane foam-forming composition obtained by dispersing and mixing an organic polyisocyanate with a polyol, a catalyst and a foam stabilizer, mixing and dispersing an inert gas by mechanical stirring and then, carrying out foaming and curing. In the production method, the foam stabilizer is composed of a dimethylpolysiloxane-polyether polyol block copolymer and silicon content is 10-30 mass % and molecular weight distribution in weight average molecular weight is shown as follows: 30-40% in≥1,000 and <2,000 weight average molecular weight, 40-50% in≥2,000 and <4,000 weight average molecular weight and 20-30% in≥4,000 weight average molecular weight.
