PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for electronic components excellent in workability, productivity, and reliability, as well as in battery characteristics. SOLUTION: The separator for electronic components is a porous film made of resin containing vinylidene fluoride homopolymer with a tensile elongation of 30% to 200%. Such a separator is excellent in workability, productivity, and reliability, and yet excellent in battery characteristics. Furthermore, a lithium secondary cell, polymer lithium secondary cell, aluminum electrolytic capacitor, and electric double layer capacitor equipped with the separator can attain life elongation and function improvement.
