PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and thin disk device by miniaturizing a means for detecting the insertion of a disk into the disk device. SOLUTION: This disk device is constructed in such a manner that an electric circuit board and a disk insertion detection lever are provided in a floating unit, the disk insertion detection lever is arranged near a disk insertion/ejection port, and the device is pressed to rotate by the outer edge of the inserted disk recording medium, thereby directly driving a switch for outputting a disk detection signal to the electric circuit board.
