PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid absorbing agent composition comprising a polymer effectively utilizable as a substrate for a thermal storage medium, an aromatic agent, a deodorant, a liquid absorbing agent for various kinds of organic waste liquors, a liquid absorbing agent for water-soluble coatings, a solidifying agent during leakage of the organic waste liquors, a solidifying agent for alcoholic waste liquors or a greening fertilizer waterholding agent and effectively absorbing an organic solvent and an organic aqueous solution. SOLUTION: The liquid absorbing agent for the organic solvent or organic aqueous solution comprises a copolymer prepared by copolymerizing an alkyl (meth)acrylamide represented by general formula (1), preferably dimethylacrylamide with a cross-linking agent which is a≥2-functional monomer, preferably methylenebisacrylamide.
