发明名称 METHOD FOR DETECTING FULLY SOLIDIFIED POSITION OF CONTINUOUSLY-CAST BLOOM
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect accurately a fully solidified position, which fluctuates with a casting condition and a kind of steel, using a small number of sensors, when detecting the fully solidified position of a bloom by using transverse ultrasonic waves. SOLUTION: Sensors, each of which consists of a transmission sensor 11 transmitting transverse waves and a receipt sensor 12 receiving the waves, are set at two or more positions separate from each other in a casting direction. The sensors are adjusted under the condition that the position of the sensor in an upstream becomes a fully solidified position 16. In the adjusted state, a propagation time to penetrate a bloom 13 is measured by a sensor on a downstream side, and an average temperature in a thickness direction of the bloom is obtained from the measured propagation time. An average temperature that is calculated with a heat transfer calculation under the casting condition is calibrated by using the fully solidified position, which is detected by the sensor on the upstream side, and the average temperature, which is obtained by the sensor in the downstream. The calibration is repeatedly conducted under various casting conditions to construct a database of casting conditions and average temperatures.
