PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform angular adjustment and vertical adjustment of an armrest by avoiding interference of the armrest with the bucket part of a seat cushion when a seatback is laid forward and avoiding the interference of the armrest with a console box or a hand brake at a seat. SOLUTION: The armrest is formed of: an armrest bracket 16; an armrest main frame 12 which is rocked to a forward laid position and a backward laid position by fitting its base rotatably to an armrest shaft 17 and fitting the armrest shaft 17 to a bearing 25; a top web 18; and a pair of side flanges 19 and 20 with a groove-shaped cross section to cover the arm rest main frame 12 from its upper side. The flanges 19 and 20 are holed to fit both of the ends of a stopper pin 21. When rotating the main frame 12 backward over the backward laid position, locking is released to lower the main frame 12 to the forward laid position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
