<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force control unit of a vehicle capable of avoiding the engaged/locked state of a clutch after clutch control is turned off to stop a motor. <P>SOLUTION: The control unit comprises a motor 4, rear wheels 3L, 3R driven by the motor 4, and a clutch 12 interposed into a power transmission path from the motor 4 to the rear wheels 3L, 3R. Connecting or disconnecting of the clutch 12 is performed, in mechanical configuration, by controlling operation of an electromagnetic clutch 106. Changing from a secured to a released state of a holder 104 by the electromagnetic clutch 106 with an outer wheel member 101, is performed when the acceleration of a rotating shaft on the motor side is no less than that of a rotating shaft on the wheel side.
