<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form high quality images by making a toner supplied uniformly to a part of the surface of a photoreceptor, with which a cleaning member is in contact during an exposure period, thereby preventing vibration of photoreceptors, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus provided with a photoreceptor drum 12, a developing rotating unit, an intermediate transfer belt 15 and a waste toner tank is also provided with a primary transfer roller 16 in which a rotary shaft 16b is pivotally supported at both its ends so as to freely rotate and a roller portion 16a, which rotates while pressing the surface of the photoreceptor drum 12 via the intermediate transfer belt 15, has the shape of a crown. A toner image which is a countermeasure image is formed upstream of a toner image being a target image. The toner image, which is the countermeasure image on the intermediate transfer belt 15, is repeatedly made into press contact with the surface of the photoreceptor drum 12, thereby supplying (reverse transferring) toner d as lubricant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
