摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve driving efficiency of a dielectric barrier type low-pressure discharge lamp in which mercury is sealed. <P>SOLUTION: Transformer driving circuits 4a, 4b use rectangular waves for AC-driving inverter transformers 5a, 5b to have a period for each FET 11-18 in the transformer driving circuits 4a, 4b to completely halt on a primary side of the inverter transformers 5a, 5b. By setting a coupling factor and a leakage inductance of the inverter transformers 5a, 5b so that the output voltage from a secondary winding forms sine waves, the dielectric barrier type low pressure discharge lamp is efficiently driven through the sine wave driving. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
