PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly economical distillation method for obtaining a high-quality 2-alkyl-2-adamantyl (meth)acrylate in high recovery through solving conventional problems by suppressing its decomposition and polymerization for a long time. SOLUTION: The method comprises distilling the 2-alkyl-2-adamantyl (meth)acrylate of general formula(I)( wherein, R1 is a 1-4C alkyl; and R2 is H or methyl ) in the presence of a compound of general formula(II)( wherein, R3 and R4 are each a 1-12C alkyl; and R5 and R6 are each a 1-6C alkyl ).
