PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and a recording control method that prevent an image from getting spoiled by the overlapping of dots and does not take much time in recording. SOLUTION: A first dot 102 and a second dot 112 are formed so as to overlap. An ink drop 100 of a diameter D1a forming the first dot 102 is jetted and permeates a recording paper after a lapse of a prescribed time and the diameter on the surface of the recording paper becomes D1b. In that state, when an ink drop 110 forming the second dot 112 is jetted, the ink drop 100 and the ink drop 110 do not get mixed with each other. Since the ink that permeates the recording paper 16 is held in the image receiving layer in the recording paper, the mixing of the ink does not occur in the recording paper. Consequently, a desired dot shape can be obtained. Furthermore, the ink drop 110 can be jetted without waiting for the complete permeation of the ink drop 100, any reduction in the printing speed can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
