<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric parking brake device which can efficiently impart a stable braking force. <P>SOLUTION: A high-order ECU estimates the temperature of a friction member based on a vehicle state, and in addition, determines a frequency n by which the friction member is pressed to a rotator, respective required periods of time t from pressing to pressing, and a pressing force set value f by which the friction member is pressed to the rotator at the time of each pressing based on the estimated temperature. Then, the high-order ECU inputs the result to a control circuit as a braking indication signal. The control circuit controls this electric parking brake in such a manner that the friction member may be pressed to the rotator based on the braking indication signal, and then, after predetermined periods of time t (t1 to t3) have passed, the friction member may be pressed to the rotator again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
