摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide an optical radio communication system which improves an S/N ratio of a transmission signal of an optical radio communication and which enhances reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The optical radio communication system includes a means for transmitting a "1" signal and a "0" signal of digital signals as optical signals having separate wavelengths to a transmission side of the optical signal. The system further includes a "0" signal wavelength light photodetector for photodetecting a light having a wavelength for a "0" signal communication to generate current, and a "1" signal wavelength light photodetector for photodetecting a light having a wavelength for a "1" signal communication to generate current at a reception side of the optical signal. For example, at the "0" signal communication time, the current based on the optical signal of the "0" signal (signal current) is generated in the "0" signal wavelength light photodetector, and current by photodetecting a disturbance light (noise reference current) is generated in the "1" signal wavelength light photodetector. The noise reference signal current and the signal current are conducted in reverse direction to each other. Since the disturbance light has different in optical intensity according to the wavelength, a disturbance light photodetecting quantity regulating means is provided so that noise components due to the noise reference current and the disturbance light of the signal current become the same amplitude.
