<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sliding part at a reduced manufacturing cost, which sliding part is endowed with a lubricating effect on its slide surface to reduce its frictional coefficient. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises mixing a powder of a fluorine compound with a powder of a spacer to form a mixed powder, placing a layer of the mixed powder on the surface to be processed, heating the silicon carbide part in an atmosphere in the furnace at a set temperature equal to or lower than the melting point of the fluorine compound to chemically react the silicon carbide of the silicon carbide part with the powder of the fluorine compound to form a product on the surface to be processed of the silicon carbide part, removing the product from the silicon carbide part to form dimples on the surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
