<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for heating a ring-shaped wire rod which realize quick and uniform reheating of the ring-shaped wire rod to a prescribed heating temperature when applied to a wire rod heat treatment line. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for heating the ring-shaped wire rod is disclosed in which at least two or more of induction coils are provided successively in a transport direction of the ring-shaped wire rod, the induction coils generating, around the ring-shaped wire rod, alternating magnetic fields different in the direction, and the heating method for the ring-shaped wire rod using the apparatus is also disclosed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
