<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of using a selective drive easily mounted on apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The sinker selecting device in circular knitting machine is provided with selecting sections (10) facing to the end of radial slot (4) of a sinker ring (1) containing sinkers (5), wherein each radial slot (4) directs to the direction receding from a shaft (1a) of the sinker ring (1), and the selecting section is swingable on the radial face of the sinker ring (1) from an operating position to an unoperating position, and connected to each sinker (5) to make a movement of the sinker (5) according to each radial slot (4) on the operating position or on the unoperating position.
