摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce Lorentz force generated in a flash discharge lamp disposed on the outermost side, in a flash discharge lamp device wherein a plurality of flash discharge lamps are arranged in a planar form so as to be parallel with one another. SOLUTION: This flash discharge lamp device is so structured that the plurality of flash discharge lamps 1 are arranged in a planar form so as to be parallel with one another, and to set directions of currents flowing through the adjacent flash discharge lamps opposite to each other. The flash discharge lamp device is characterized by that conductors 11-1 and 11-2 for carrying currents in directions opposite to the directions of the currents of the flash lamps 1-1 and 1-2 positioned on the outermost sides are installed along the outsides of the discharge lamps 1-1 and 1-2 positioned on the outermost sides out of the plurality of flash discharge lamps 1.
