PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for searching a recommended route with time regulation taken into consideration, even when searching the route astride over areas different in time zones. SOLUTION: This navigation system has a storage device for storing a map data containing a link data including time regulation information of respective links constituting roads on a map, and time zone information for determining the time zones to which the respective links belong. The navigation system sets a start point and a destination, and searches the recommended route between the start point and the destination, using the map data. The route is searched while excepting the link time-regulated in an arrival-predicted time of the link, based on the time regulation information and the time zone information. The respective links are precluded from existing astride over the different time zones.
