PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conveniently and freely acquire information even if information for specifying an information acquisition destination such as a URL is not known and to provide information without requiring special management and to one or more unspecified information requesters at point-blank range. SOLUTION: An information provision server device 2 provides information and has an information DB28 in which information to be provided is stored, an infrared receiving part 25 which receives a signal having directivity transmitted by radio from a terminal 1, a transmitting destination information extraction part 27 which extracts, from a signal received by the infrared receiving part 25, a transmitting destination address for specifying a transmitting destination of the information different from a terminal address of a portable information terminal 1 which is a transmitting origin of the signal and a provided information transmitting part 29 which transmits predetermined information read from the information DB28 to the transmitting address extracted by the transmitting destination information extraction part 27.
