PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL, ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND ITS PROTECTION LAYER MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a plasma display panel of which discharge property is excellent an stable and in which display property of the image is superior. SOLUTION: This is the plasma display panel in which a dielectric layer 5 is formed so as to cover a scanning electrode 3 and a sustaining electrode 4 formed on a substrate (front glass substrate 2) and a protection layer 6 is formed on this dielectric layer 5. This protection layer 6 includes magnesium carbide. And the protection layer 6 is composed of magnesium oxide containing magnesium carbide by 50 wt.ppm-7000 wt.ppm.
