PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently rouse a resin hardened product by heat-treating the resin hardened product to provide a residue and a thermally degraded product, separating them, pulverizing the separated residue to provide a carbide powder, and compacting the obtained carbide powder alone or by mixing the carbide powder with a binder, and/or gelatinizing the thermally degraded product and drying the gelatinized product to form the thermally degraded product. SOLUTION: A vapor phase thermal degradation method and a liquid phase thermal degradation method are used for the heating treatment of a resin hardened product, and the treating temperature is preferably 300-1,000 deg.C. In the vapor phase thermal degradation method, the resin hardened product is inserted into a heating furnace regulated so as to have an atmosphere with a low concentration of oxygen, concretely 0-10% oxygen concentration. In the liquid phase thermal degradation method, the resin hardened product is inserted into a reaction vessel with a solvent, and heated to carry out the degradation reaction. A gas-barrier vessel is filled with a carbide powder alone or a mixture thereof with a binder, and the vessel with the carbide powder is evacuated and sealed to provide a vacuum heat insulator. The thermally degraded product is formed into a wet gel by adding a condensing agent, a condensing catalyst and a solvent, and the obtained wet gel is dried to remove the solvent and to provide a formed product. |
