<p>Oxazolidinone derivs tranquillisers prepn Cpds of gen formula (I): (where R1 and R2 are same or different alkyl (pref. max. C6) or R1 + R2 + N form a heterocyclic radical (pref. 5-7 membered); A= straight or branched alkylene (pref. C2-6); X=aryl (pref. phenyl or naphthyl) opt. substd with one or more halogen, alkyl and alkoxy (max C5) acylamino (max C6) or alkylene (C3-4) and their acid-addn salts are sedatives anticonvulsives and beta-adrenergic blocks and are used in the treatment of Parkinsons' Disease and neurotic conditions. Pref. cpds are e.g. 3-beta-diethylaminoethyl-5-(napht-1(A) or 2- (B)yloxymethyl) oxasolidin-2-one.</p> |
