Process for inserting dividers (3) between containers (5) transported in groups on a conveying device (7) comprises removing a folded divider from a stack (15) of dividers using a suction head (17), opening the divider by rotating the suction head, moving the divider over the group of containers, and introducing the divider into the intermediate space between the containers. During transport between the magazine (13) and the transfer point (X), the divider is permanently held by the suction head over the moving container group. The divider is released by removing the retention force of the suction head and drops between the containers. An independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the above process. |
