PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for forming an ink-receiving layer suitable for an ink jet recording system for a variety of substrates by compounding a specific polymerizable cationic polyacryloyl compound with a specific acrylic copolymer. SOLUTION: This composition comprises the following components I and II. Component I is a polymerizable cvationic polyacryloyl compound represented by formula 1 and/or formula 2 which has two or more acryloyl groups and one or more cationic groups in the molecule. In the formulae 1 and 2 Z1 and Z2 are each an aliphatic residue of an aliphatic polyol; R1 -R7 are each an ethylene oxide chain; K is an atomic group selected among formulae (a)-(e) whose end is cationic; A is a residue of a (meth)acrylic ester; and X is an atomic group selected among formulae (a)-(e) and A. Component II is an acrylic polymer comprising the following monomers by weight: 20-60% acrylamide, 10-35% acrylic ester having an ethylene glycol side chain, and 15-40% alkyl acrylate. |
