<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk array device provided with an accurate function for preventing the disk array device from failing together with power supply, which can be made small in size and bring about cost reduction as a whole. SOLUTION: In the case of this device, magnetic disk drives 21 to 2n are provided on a backboard 1c to be made to be small, switches 4a and 4b having a power supply state detection and protection function are provided on the side of the power supply parts 14 and 15 of a power supply pattern area 29 arranged on a circuit package 16 for preventing failing together with power supply, switches 31 to 3n having a power supply state detection and protection function are also provided on the side of the magnetic disk drives 21 to 2n , control packages 12 and 13 connected between the respective power supply parts 14 and 15 through a dedicated pattern on the board 1c and a pattern other than the area 29 on the package 16 and for controlling power supply by the power supply parts 14 and 15 are connected to the power supply parts 14 and 15 respectively, and therefore, the entire system does not go down even though a failure occurs in part on the area 29.</p> |
