FIELD: automotive industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to protect parts of body from stones, water and road mud through by wheels and as decorative element. Vehicle body unit consists of body wall to which body fender is connected to form wheel arch accommodating protective shield. Shield is bent to suit bending of fender arch and its front edge adjoins body wall. Proposed shield is L-shaped in cross section. First edge of shield is formed on its inner part arranged between fender and wall of body and is limited in cross section by bend. Outer part is arranged over surface of body fender adjoining edge flange of fender arch and is also limited by bend. Proposed shield can be made as single part or can consists of two parts, one of which forms first edge of shield. Outer part of protective shield arranged along arch of fender forms, as a rule, a decorative molding. ^ EFFECT: improved protection of vehicle body parts, enlarged operating capabilities of shield. ^ 8 cl, 4 dwg |
