FIELD: metallurgy; preparation of chips and sludge wastes for remelting. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes crushing, mechanical wringing-out of lubricant-and-coolant, heating to temperature of 650-700°C and hot molding. Content of lubricant-and-coolant in chips is brought to 2-4 % and metal or metal abrasive sludge at content of lubricant-and-coolant of 5-10% is introduced into chips. Amount of sludge is proportioned within 5-25% of mass of mixture, after which mixture is molded into porous layer at density of 700-1400 kg/m3 and is passed through heating zone at ratio of length to size of cross section equal to 7-10. Rate of motion of layer is equal to 0.06-0.1 m/min. Device proposed for briquetting the metal chips includes crusher, centrifuge, heating furnace and briquetting press. Passage for motion of chips during heating is made in form of hollow muffle and two vibration supports. Side walls of muffle have holes; ratio of distance between holes in longitudinal section of muffle to width of its internal cavity is equal to 2.2-3.5 and area of each hole relative to area of cross section of cavity is equal to 3-5%. ^ EFFECT: possibility of briquetting low-ductile hardly deformable steels and sludge dump; avoidance of dust emission into working space of furnace and into atmosphere. ^ 1 dwg, 1 tbl,, 8 ex |
