FIELD: construction, particularly bridges with timber span structures. ^ SUBSTANCE: span structure comprises prefabricated vertical beams of rectangular cross-sections and upper timber panel composed of horizontal board blanks to be used as part of roadway and as main beam member. Timber panel consists of several horizontal board blank layers crossing at 90° angle and arranged along the full bridge width so that the first layer and all next odd layers extend transversely to beam axes, the second and all next even layers are parallel to beam axes and glue lines are formed between board blanks and beams and between the layers. The first timber panel layer is located at neutral axis of section defined by ribbed, box-like span structure system. ^ EFFECT: increased load-bearing span structure capacity, reduced material consumption and labor inputs for span structure production and assemblage. ^ 3 dwg |
