The new compound o-(diisopropylaminoethoxy)-butyrophenone and its hydrochloride are prepared by condensing o-hydroxybutyrophenone with diisopropylaminoethylchloride hydrochloride. Pharmaceutical preparations for administration of the new compounds topically and parenterally are mentioned, having local anaesthetic action.
