The clip has a part (2) forming an anchoring surface and placed in housing (12) of a slider. A part (3) is placed outside the housing to form a support surface for a window pane. The support and anchoring surfaces define respective contact sides contacting with the pane and slider. The side contacting with the slider has a lug to fix the clip in housing to retain the pane in the housing when a sliders flexible part (9) is damaged. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a durable assembly having a slider and a reinforcement clip (b) a vehicle anti-theft method.
