The method involves calculating instantaneous dynamic criteria that is equal to a difference between instantaneous value of a signal representative of acceleration variation and a signal representative of amplitude of irregularities of a route. Signal representative of attitude of vehicle is filtered based on filter coefficient. Elevation angle of a headlight is corrected by a correction unit (18) based on the filtered signal.
