摘要 <p>Ink jet printing material comprising a support with a polyester base layer and a porous, ink-permeable upper layer of polyester coated with an ink-receiving layer containing a hybrid aluminosilicate polymer which is obtained by alkaline hydrolysis of mixed aluminum-silicon compounds or precursor compounds with hydrolyzable groups. Material for forming images by ink jet printing, comprising (A) a support and (B) at least one ink-receiving layer. (A) comprises (A1) a base layer of polyester and (A2) an upper layer of porous, ink-permeable polyester consisting of a continuous polyester phase with an ink absorption rate such that the drying time is less than 10 seconds and a total absorption capacity of at least 14 cm3>/m2>. (B) contains hybrid aluminosilicate polymer(s) obtained by: (a) treating a mixed aluminum-silicon alkoxide containing only hydrolyzable substituents, or a mixed Al/Si precursor obtained by hydrolysis of a mixture of Al and Si compounds containing only hydrolyzable groups, with an aqueous alkali in presence of silanol groups, the concentration of Al being kept below 0.3 mol/l, the Al/Si mol ratio in the range 1-3.6 and the alkali/Al mol ratio in the range 2.3-3; (b) stirring the mixture at room temperature (RT) in presence of silanol groups for the time required to form the hybrid polymer; and (c) removing by-products. (B) contains no binder.</p>
