The carriage has mounting brackets (5, 6) cooperating with lateral girders to move the carriage along a longitudinal direction. Two connection units are arranged between respective lateral ends of a central girder and respective brackets, to move the brackets together. One of the units has U-shaped parts (15a, 15b), rods (56a, 56b) and washer (58) to allow movement of the central girder with respect to the bracket (5). An independent claim is also included for a gantry crane having two lateral girders and a carriage.
