The present invention provides a novel use for AChE antisense oligonucleotid es as anti-inflammatory agents, wherein said oligonucleotides are preferably as denoted by SEQ. ID. NO:1, SEQ. ID. NO:2 and SEQ. ID. NO:7. Described are pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of inflammatory conditions, as well as methods of treatment thereof, comprising as active agent said AChE antisense oligonucleotides.
