A CAES unit comprises an atmospheric burner (11), arranged downstream of the expansion machine (2). The flue gas thus generated flows through a heat exchanger (9). The storage medium, flowing from the reservoir (1) into the heat exchanger is heated by heat exchange. In said unit, the storage medium is directly used for the combustion of a fuel without the need to expose the expansion machine to corrosive flue gases. |
