A mobile telephone apparatus (101) can communicate by use of communication systems based on WCDMA system and SIP (systems in which IP telephony is possible). A general control part (141) of the mobile telephone apparatus (101) causes a radio LAN communication control part (142) to establish a communication using a communication system based on SIP when determining, during a communication with a mobile telephone apparatus (102) via the WCDMA system, that both the mobile telephone apparatus (101) and the mobile telephone apparatus (102) exist within a hot spot that is an area where a communication using the communication system based on SIP is possible. Thereafter, the general control part (141) causes a WCDMA communication control part (143) to disconnect the communication using the WCDMA system.
