<p>The invention relates to a device for transverse optical pumping with laser diodes, comprising at least one plate (1) of low-doped amplifying material, said plate having two large parallel sections, means (2, 3), for introducing a pump light into the plate and plate cooling means. Said device is characterised in that the pump light is introduced into the plate by focusing a light from the laser diodes (2) onto a first edge of the plate, perpendicular to both large parallel sections. Said invention applies, inter alia, to high-power and short-pulse lasers.</p> |
