<p>A security system for an elevator, authenticating a passenger by a wireless card (102a-102c) and a fingerprint authentication device (biometric authentication device)(104a-104c). Data for the authentication are held in a database (203a-203c) in a control device (106a-106c). When the data have to be renewed by, for example, registration of a fingerprint pattern of a new passenger, renewal data is produced by a registration unit (130) that is a portable terminal device possessed by an administrator. Then, when the registration unit (130) is connected at a predetermined place to the control device (106a-106c), the renewal data is transmitted to the control device (106a-106c) to rewrite contents of the database (203a-203c).</p> |
